Purpose and Rationale: 

People credited with this unit standard The registered statements of desired education and training outcomes and their associated assessment criteriaare able to:

  • Describe and interpret the environment geometrically.
  • Describe routes and locations on maps.
  • Solve problems involving measurement in the contexts of perimeter, area and volume aimed at developing an understanding of the units of measurement.
  • Apply lines of sight to make decisions about the placement of objects and the effect of movement on the view.
