Purpose and Rationale: 

The learner Any person receiving education and training (in terms of the ABET Act of 2000)will be able to use language for learning and other learning strategies in all learning areas and contexts. The ability to use language for problem-solving, decision-making and creative, critical and evaluative thinking will be developed. The role of language in cognitive and conceptual development will be promoted in all learning and teaching environments.
